1 Nov 2017, Brackenfell, Cape Town: Two men have been arrested and abalone worth five-million-rand seized during a police blitz operation at an alleged abalone processing facility in Brackenfell.

HAWKS spokesperson, Lloyd Ramovha, says they conducted an intelligence driven operation and swooped on a house in River Road.

He says they seized 40-thousand units of abalone.

Ramovha says the suspects, aged 39 and 42, are expected to appear in the Kuils River Magistrates Court soon on charges of dealing in abalone.
