5 Jul 2017, Cape Town: Multiple roads were on lock down earlier today in Cape Town following a Armed Robbery and hostage situation at Cash crusaders.

The affected roads included Strand, Long, Loop, Castle and Riebeek streets. Police special task team were also on the scene.

It's believed that nobody was injured in the incident. Police apprehend one of the suspects in the Cash Crusaders robbery in Strand Street, Cape Town.

Central City Improvement District security manager Mo Hendricks said that a SAPS task force was dealing with the matter.

It's believed a hostage situation ensued.

UPDATE 13: Specialized security force has left the scene moments ago and Cape Town Fire Fighters entered the store.

Store appears to have been cleared. The roads is still on lock down.This is a developing story and updates will follow on this article as they happen.
