1 Nov 2017, Bela-Bela: A Well-known property agent of Bela-Bela, Mr Pieter Wagner snr. had to report to the Bela-Bela police station on Wednesday, November 1, where he was charged with arranging two illegal public gatherings on Monday, 30 October.
The one was at the Settlers / Codrington exit on the N1 highway in support of the national rally against farm murders. The other one is a prayer contest held before SuperSpar on Bela-Bela.
He was charged with disrupting traffic on the N1 highway. The Police's Public Order Unit has laid charges against Wagner.
Hundreds of community members showed their support and accompanied him to the police station. He was released and will appear in the Bela-Bela Magistrate's Court on Thursday, 2 November.
