11 Jan 2018, Pinetown: A 25-year-old woman sustained serious injuries to her arm when she was shot during an alleged attempted hijacking in New Germany, Pinetown.

At approximately 7pm this evening, paramedics from ER24 attended the scene where they found the woman sitting outside a shop being attended to by bystanders.

It is understood that she was shot and bystanders assisted her. Paramedics treated her on scene and later transported her to hospital for further care.

Police attended the scene to conduct an investigation.
