4 Jun 2018, Gauteng: Three separate cash-in-transit robberies took place on Monday morning. One in Krugersdorp (Gauteng), another in Witbank (Mpumalanga) and one in King Williams Town (Eastern Cape).
Seven suspects armed with AK47's and handguns, confronted G4S Security Guards while they were transporting money from a Shell garage in Krugersdorp.
Gauteng Hawks spokesperson Captain Ndivhuwo Mulamu: "An undisclosed amount was taken and the suspects fled the scene in a white Toyota Corolla and Hilux bakkie. The suspects fired several shots as they were driving away. No one was injured."
In the Eastern Cape, police are hot on the heels of three suspects still at large who robbed a cash-in-transit vehicle at a petrol station in King William's Town.
Information of the Witbank robbery is still sketchy.
