2 SEPARATE ACCIDENTS IN PINETOWN HAS LEFT 15 PEOPLE INJURED

23 May 2017, Pinetown: In two separate accidents in half an hour have left fifteen people injured in Pinetown on Monday evening. Just after 6pm Rescue Care Paramedics responded to a serious taxi accident at the corner of Richmond Road and Alexander Road in Pinetown.

On arrival they found that the two vehicles had collided in a T-Bone format in the junction. Patients were found lying on the grass bank.

Immediately more ambulances were dispatched to the scene to assist with the number of staff injured.



A total of thirteen people had sustained various injuries and were stabilised on the scene before being transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.

Whilst in attendance of this scene a motorist stopped and informed emergency personal that there was a second collision on Richmond Road over the N3 Bridge. Paramedics arrived on the scene to find that a vehicle was on its roof.

Two occupants of the vehicle had sustained minor injuries and were stabilised on the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care that they required.


At this stage the exact cause of the collisions are unknown however the necessary authorities were on both scenes and will be investigating further.
