18 Sep 2017, Durban: Dismembered remains of pedestrian scattered on N2 Highway following crash

Crisis Medical Paramedics were called to the N2 north bound carriage way, in the vicinity of the Queen Nandi Drive Bridge earlier yesterday evening, after a minibus taxi had struck a pedestrian.

On arrival on scene paramedics were met with absolute mayhem as the dismembered mortal remains of a pedestrian lay strewn across the roadway.

The gender and approximate age of the deceased could not be obtained on initial assessment, due to the severity of the injuries sustained.

A driver and single occupant of the minibus suffered minor injuries and was attended to on scene before being taken to a nearby hospital for further care.

Part of the roadway remained closed whilst emergency services and authorities worked to clear the scene and conduct the necessary investigations.
