LENTEGEUR SUSPECT ARRESTED: POSSESSION OF DRUGS & ILLEGAL POSS. AMMUNITION

14 May 2017, Cape Town: Vigilant police members attached to Lentegeur SAPS Crime Prevention Unit were performing patrols on Friday, 12 May 2017 at about 18:10 in the Lentegeur area when they noticed a white Mazda vehicle.

The driver, known to members, then sped off, which led to a pursuit ending in Malva Street, Lentegeur.

The suspect attempted to flee, however swift action by police led to his apprehension and upon searching the vehicle they found 3500 mandrax tablets, with an estimated street value R150 000 and 18x 45mm rounds.



The 31 year old suspect was arrested and will appear in the Mitchells Plain Magistrate’s Court on Monday on charges of dealing in drugs and illegal possession of ammunition.
