KWA-ZULU NATAL SAPS: A 51-YEAR OLD SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR DEALING IN DAGGA

31 March 2017, Chatsworth: Today, 30 March 2017 at approximately 02:00, an Ethekwini Inner South Cluster Intelligence driven operation together with Ethekwini Inner South Cluster and Durban Metro apprehended a 51-year-old suspect with drugs worth R2000.

The suspect was caught at her home in Demat Road, Chatsworth with six packets of dagga, 102 sloops of dagga and 16 heroin capsules.

The total amount of dagga weighed 915, 23 grams. The suspect was charged for dealing in dagga and for being in possession of heroin.



The suspect was detained at Chatsworth SAPS and will appear at Chatsworth Magistrates’ Court in due time.

Ethekwini Inner South Cluster Commander, Major General Nunkumar commended members on their good work.

“We will be conducting numerous operations to combat the use and sales of drugs in the area,” he said.
