South African Police Service | Eastern Cape | NARI

8 Jan 2018, Eastern Cape: Eastern Cape police said that a couple from Gauteng who had been reported missing has been located.

Police spokesperson, Captain Mali Govender, said 40-year-old Guy Mclaughlin and his 33-year-old friend Lindsay Lamb, had been in an area of the Wild Coast that has little to no cellphone or telephone reception.

Govender told Algoa FM News that the missing person's report was filed by Lamb's mother, who became concerned when she did not hear from her daughter since the couple left Grahamstown on Friday.

"Our investigation team had managed to track them to a lodge on the Wild Coast. They spoke to the lodge owner who confirmed that the couple had been there and that there is very poor reception in that particular area," she said.

"They are both well".
