12 Jan 2018, KwaZulu Natal: Following previous successful years, IPSS Medical Rescue once again partnered with KwaDukuza Municipality for the festive period, in an effort to promote safety and to better manage emergencies.
The following statistics were recorded:
107 Water Rescues
9 Mass Rescues
2 Near Drownings
1 Inland Drowning
Well done to KDM Lifeguards for once again achieving a zero drowning rate at protected beaches.
In addition to the above, IPSS Medical Rescue responded to 597 emergencies over the festive period.
Paramedics and crews stabilised more than 250 medical patients, as well as in excess of 221 trauma patients and 2 successful resuscitations.
Well done to all of the services, teams and crews across the greater area. Professionalism and integration continues to improve our collective service delivery.
