18 Dec 2017, Durban: A man, believed to be in his 60's, was pronounced dead this morning following a diving incident at Warner Beach in Durban South, KwaZulu Natal.

ER24 arrived at the beach at 09h00 and were informed that a diving boat was bringing a patient to the beach.

After a short time, a boat arrived on the beach. A male, believed to be in his 60's, was found lying inside, motionless.

Paramedics and lifeguards assessed the man and found that he showed no signs of life. CPR and advanced life support interventions were immediately initiated, in an effort to revive the patient.

Unfortunately, after some time, no vital signs returned and the man was pronounced dead.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
