24 May 2018, Cape Town: Two Golden Arrow Busses and two motor vehicles were set alight during a protest on the corner of Mew Way & N2, Khayelitsha.
'
Fire Services had to wait for Police to escort them to the scene. No reports of injuries.

Western Cape traffic chief Kenny Africa said a group of about 12 people have set tyres alight under the Mew Way bridge.

Update on the Parkwood situation:
A fire was set at the community hall but only damaged the door. SAPS arrested 2 suspects. A group of about 150 people protested along Walmer road.

PG Drive are still closed from Dick Burton to De Waal roads affecting north and south bound lanes. Officers removed a number of tyres in Hyde Road. It's believed the tyres were placed there by protesters to use later.
