4 FARM ATTACKS IN ONE NIGHT - REPORTS

On Friday night, 29 June 2018, a total of four farm attacks were reported. The attacks were in Bokfontein, near Brits in the North West Province, Tierpoort, south of Bloemfontein in the Free State, Klopperbos, north of Pretoria and in Mooiplaats, east of Pretoria.

Bokfontein, North West Province:
In the first attack a Farmer was badly assaulted with a sickle. The attack happened at about 22h30 on Friday night, 29 June 2018.

Tierpoort, Bloemfontein, Free State Province: A Farm worker and his wife were attacked by 3 suspects, armed with firearms.

The victims were tied up. Three other farm workers, two men and one woman and a child were also assaulted. Fortunately no serious injuries were reported and the suspects fled with cash and a radio.

Klopperbos, Pretoria, Gauteng Province:
Victims were attacked on their farm and suspects took cash, cellphones, jewelry and firearms before fleeing. Fortunately no injuries reported after the victims managed to alert neighbours via two-way radio which led to quick response.

Mooiplaats, Pretoria, Gauteng Province:
In the fourth incident a female victim was attacked by one male suspect. The victim was stabbed in her hand with a screwdriver. The suspect fled with the victims' handbag and purse.
