ER24 Paramedics | Western Cape | NARI

9 Mar 2018, Cape Town: Two people sustained moderate injuries in a private paragliding accident on Signal Hill in Cape Town this afternoon.

At approximately 13h00, ER24 Paramedics arrived at the scene and found a woman, believed to be in her 40s, and a man, believed to be in his 30s, lying on the hill.

Community Medics and Fire & Rescue Personnel were on scene and helped to treat the patients. The man and woman were later transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.

It is understood this was not a paid instructional flight as the SAHPA licensed tandem pilot was doing flights toward a SAHPA Tandem Flight Instructor rating.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not yet known to our paramedics, but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
