30 Dec 2017, Gauteng: Update Released on Photos that was posted earlier on News, Accidents, Robberies & Incidents:

Another near-fatal road crash occurred on N17 past the tollgate heading to Johannesburg where an LDV crashed as a result of rocks and other objects were thrown from a bridge onto the freeway.

Rocks and wooden poles were thrown onto the freeway from the bridge and as the driver swerved out for one rock there was another bigger rock that ripped of the left front suspension, leading to the LDV becoming airborne and rolling over multiple times.

The vehicle rolled from one bridge to another. The passenger had a collarbone injury and the driver broke his collarbone and dislocated his shoulder.

According to Yusuf Abramjee, Chief Ambassador for SA's most downloaded Safety App, Namola, this vehicle crashed after being hit by rocks thrown from a bridge on the N17 at the Elands Interchange. Watch video below.

Abramjee said: "Come on local, provincial and national government: We need to stop this and stop it NOW. Two people were killed outside Durban this week. Take action immediately!"
