6 Oct 2017, Port Elizabeth: Quick response and teamwork leads to arrests. Just before 11h00 our Rapid Response Unit received information of a vehicle involved in a pointing of firearm incident in Central.

Whilst circulating the information to our Unit members, a second report was received of four shots fired at NMMU. Shortly thereafter one of our clients phoned to inform us that she was almost hijacked in Summerstrand and gave a description of the vehicle involved.

The description matched the vehicle circulated in the first two incidents and the information was relayed through to the SAPS K-9 Unit, the Flying Squad and Humewood CPU members.

The vehicle was tracked on the M4 and our Rapid Response team assisted with the arrest of 4 suspects. A firearm was recovered as well. All role players are still in the scene.

Well done to our members as well as the SAPS units for their quick response. Photos in gallery below by: Algoa Security
