28 Aug 2017, Durban: Five Cash-in-Transit robbers were killed in two different shootouts with police in Durban on Monday morning.

This follows after an cash-in-transit heist that took place at Value Centre.

It's believed that in the first shootout, One suspect was killed on the scene while the remaining suspects fled in a Mercedes Benz.

Police followed them to Parlock, where the second shootout took place.

Rescue Care's operations director, Garrith Jamieson said that units from the emergency medical service were treating two people who had been caught in the crossfire in Parlock. Another two civilians also suffered injuries.


The second shootout took place outside Solwa Importers in Parlock, where 2-3 employees, allegedly on lunch, were caught in the crossfire
