Reaction Unit South Africa | Kwa-Zulu Natal | NARI

31 Oct 2017, Verulam, KwaZulu Natal: A mutilated animal believed to be a dog or a goat has been found in Brindhaven - Verulam a short while ago.

At approx 21:11 (Tuesday) members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to Larkspur Drive in Brindhaven after a resident complained of a stench emanating from the driveway area of his home.

Reaction Officers searched the area and found the large animal alongside the fence with its intestines lying beside it. The greyish fur had been skinned off.

The homeowner believed that the animal was a family pet that had been killed by a disgruntled resident who had recently complained of dogs being a nuisance in the area.

An second resident contacted the RUSA Operations Center and informed the Controller that he believed the remains was that of a goat that could have been sacrificed during a prayer.

Reaction Officers removed the decomposing animal.
