WESTERN CAPE: 7 Fatalities after 2 Trucks & 2 Light Motor Vehicles collided

2 Feb 2018, Western Cape: At least seven people have been killed in a crash between Wolseley and Tulbagh in the Western Cape.

According to Provincial Traffic Chief Kenny Africa, two trucks and two light motor vehicles were involved in the accident. He says some occupants are still trapped in the wreckage.

The road has been closed and will remain closed for some time.

Major crash investigation for a crash that occurred on Friday 2 February 2018 at approximately 15h30 on the R46 between Wolseley and Tulbagh, Western Cape. Two Trucks and two Light motor Vehicles involved in a multiple vehicle crash that resulted in 7 fatalities.

It is unknown at this stage how the crash occurred and this is subject to the ongoing investigation.
