16 Apr 2018, Camps Bay, Cape Town: A man, believed to be in his 50's, was killed yesterday afternoon following a collision between a motorbike and two light motor vehicles on Victoria Road in Camps Bay on the Western Cape.

ER24 Paramedics, along with Life Healthcare and Fire Services, arrived on the scene at 13h20 to find one light motor vehicle and a motorbike lying on the side of the road. The body of the biker was found a short distance away.

Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition.

Treatment and advanced life support interventions were immediately initiated, in an effort to stabilize his vital signs. Once treated, the man was transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

While on route to hospital, the patient’s vital signs rapidly diminished. Paramedics initiated CPR and further advanced life support supervision. Unfortunately, upon arrival at hospital, the man finally succumbed to his injuries.

The local authorities were on the scene to investigate the cause of this incident.
