16 Apr 2018, George, Western Cape: Ten people were left injured this morning following a collision between a bakkie and light motor vehicle on a gravel road off the Geelhoutboom near George in the Western Cape.
ER24 Paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene to find the two vehicles in the middle of the gravel road. Several people were found walking around on the scene.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that ten had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. It is believed that a number of the patients had been on the back of the bakkie at the time of the collision.
Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to George Provincial Hospital for further care.
The local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
