7 Oct 2017, Mpumalanga: Seven people including three children have been killed in separate accidents on the N4 in Mpumalanga. In both accidents, it;s reported on Bakkies losing control and crashing into oncoming trucks.

In one accident, the driver of the bakkie allegedly lost control and collided head-on with a truck on the Schoemanskloof Road on Thursday.

Two children and a man, believe to be the father of the children, died on the scene. A woman, suspected to be the mother together with two other children sustained serious injuries.


In a separate incident, a Bakkie and Truck collided on the N4 Tenbosch and Marloth Park turn-off. Four people, including a 2 year old child were killed. One seriously injured patient was transported to Tonga Hospital.

In both accidents, the drivers of the trucks were uninjured.
