14 Sep 2017, Durban: A woman, believed to be 44-years-old, sustained moderate injuries after a taxi knocked her down next to Alpine road in Springfield this morning.
At approximately 07h00, ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the woman lying next to the taxi.
She sustained moderate injuries to her hip and spine and was transported to Addington hospital for further medical care.
The driver of the taxi and about fourteen school children did not sustain any injuries, but the children were transported to hospital by other emergency services on scene to receive trauma counseling.
The exact circumstances of the incident are not yet known to our paramedics, but the incident will be investigated.
