15 PEOPLE HAVE BEEN INJURED INCLUDING CHILDREN WHEN 2 TAXIS COLLIDED IN PIETERMARITZBURG

29 Jan 2018, Pietermaritzburg: Fifteen patients, including children, sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate after two taxis collided on French road in Camps Drift in Pietermaritzburg this morning.

When ER24 Paramedics arrived on the scene at 07H45, they found two taxis obstructing the one lane. A number of patients were sitting on the pavement next to the road. Upon further assessment, paramedics found that fifteen people sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.

ER24, as well as another medical service, transported the patients to hospital for further medical care.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not yet known to our paramedics but police were on the scene for further investigation.
