5 Dec 2017, Pietermaritzburg: Seven people were left injured this morning when a taxi and light motor vehicle collided on the New Engeland Road Bridge in Pietermaritzburg.
ER24 Paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene at 06h10 to find both the taxi and light motor vehicle in the middle of the road. The passengers of the taxi were found walking around the scene while the driver was found seated inside his light motor vehicle.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that seven people had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries were found on the scene.
Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to Northdale and Greys Provincial Hospitals for further treatment.
The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
