Five Children Have Been Injured In Bakkie Rollover Collision, Kzn

Five children were left injured this morning when a bakkie rolled off a dirt road in Mpolweni, KwaZulu Natal.

ER24 Paramedics, along with another service, arrived on the scene at 07h34 to find the bakkie at the bottom of a small embankment, lying on its side. Several children were found seated along the roadside.

Paramedics assessed the children, believed to be aged between 6 and 10, and found that they had sustained minor to

moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found.

Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to nearby hospitals for further treatment.

It is understood that approximately 13 children had been on the back of the vehicle before it rolled. Eight of the children left the scene prior to the arrival of paramedics.

The local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
