18 Jun 2017, Durban: Four people have been injured one critically so after a hit and run collision in Ordinance Road before Soldiers Way in Durban late on Saturday evening.

Just after 10:30pm Rescue Care Paramedics were called to the serious collision involving two vehicles. On arrival they found that only one vehicle was on the scene the second vehicle had fled.

Two occupants were found entrapped in the wreckage and the Durban Fire Department used the Jaws Of Life to cut them free whilst Advanced Life Support Paramedics stabilised them in the vehicle.



One passenger had sustained critical injuries and was carefully extricated from the wreckage.

The four occupants were then transported to a nearby hospital for the further care that they required.

At this stage the exact cause of the collision is unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
