9 Oct 2017, Durban: Eighteen people have been injured after a Taxi and a vehicle collided at the corner of Commercial Road and Aliwal Street in Durban City Centre on Sunday afternoon.

Just after 4pm Rescue Care Paramedics responded to the call and on arrival Paramedics found a taxi on its side. Multiple patients including children were on scene and more ambulances were dispatched to assist.

A total of eighteen people from both vehicles had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate and were stabilised on the scene before being transported to various hospitals for the further care that they required.

At this stage the exact cause of the collision is unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
