12 Apr 2017, Vanderbijlpark: Five people were left injured this afternoon when five vehicles collided at the R42 and R57 in Vanderbijlpark.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene and found the five vehicles in the middle of the intersection. Several patients were found walking around on the scene.

Paramedics assessed the patients and found that five had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were reported.

The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment.

The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
