22 Sep 2017, Johannesburg: A 39-year-old man was left critically injured early this morning when his light motor vehicle crashed into a tree on 9th Road in Bramley, Johannesburg.
ER24 paramedics, along with the fire services, arrived on the scene to find a light motor vehicle lying on its roof on the side of the road against a tree.
The driver lay motionless and trapped inside. Rescue services had to use specialized rescue equipment to free the man which took some time.
Once freed, paramedics extricated the man and assessed him, finding that he had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition.
The man was treated for his injuries and provided with advanced life support interventions. The man was thereafter transported to Johannesburg General Hospital for urgent care.
The exact details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene to investigate further.
