16 Jul 2017, Carletonville: Four people were killed and the driver of a bakkie sustained moderate injuries in a collision on the R41, about 20 kilometers outside of Carletonville last night.

ER24 paramedics arrived to the scene at approximately 21h40 and found three people entrapped in a Ford Fiesta.

Upon arrival two people had succumbed to their wounds, while two others died after receiving advanced life support.

The driver of the bakkie sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital by other emergency services on scene.

Local authorities attended the scene and will conduct an investigation.
