11 Apr 2018, Randburg, Gauteng: Four people were left injured this morning, one of them critically, when a taxi crashed into a lamp pole at the Republic and Main Road intersection in Randburg, Johannesburg.
ER24 Paramedics, along with another service, arrived on the scene to find the taxi on the side of the road against a lamp pole.
A woman was found lying next to the taxi door that had been ripped off in the collision while three other patients were found walking around on the scene.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found the woman and found that she had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition while the three other patients had sustained only minor injuries.
The patients were treated for their injuries and the critically injured woman provided with advanced life support interventions.
Once treated, the critically injured woman was airlifted to a private hospital by the ER24 Oneplan Helicopter while the three other patients were transported by ambulance.
The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
