THREE PEOPLE WERE INJURED WHEN TWO VEHICLES COLLIDE AT R55 AND WIERDA ROAD, PRETORIA

6 Sep 2017, Pretoria: Three people were injured after a bakkie and a light motor vehicle collided at the R55 and Wierda road intersection in Sunderland this afternoon. When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene at 16H10, two of the patients were walking on the scene. Another patient was still seated in the light motor vehicle.

Upon further assessment, it was found that two of the patients, both males, sustained minor injuries. The other patient, also male, who was seated in the light motor vehicle sustained serious injuries.

They were transported to Pretoria West hospital and Kalafong hospital for further medical care.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet known to our paramedics. Local authorities were on scene.
